WelcomeIf you are here, you have chosen one of Abbie-lea Verco's 5 CLC Programs. Welcome aboard and get ready for the ride.
A few things to note: 1) To contact Abbie-Lea Email: [email protected] Mobile: 0438 289 735 I say to all my students, If a class is not what you were expecting, please don't just not show up, let's have a chat and see what we can do to make your timetable more suited to you. |
Logging On To School Computers |
Hopefully you were able to attend one of the orientation sessions. I have attached the computing/technology booklet that you would have received at that session here.
You would have also been given a single sheet of paper with your log on details on it for the school computers. When you are inside the NASC building, you will need those details to use the PC's (eg. student ID of p123456 and password). You do not need them for working on the Apple Mac laptop computers at The Platform because these are shared computers and they have the same login for everyone which is simply to access it. If you have not done an orientation, can you please go and see Gill in the Basement of NASC at 10.30am Monday-Thursday (or on Ground Floor in the library) to be able to sort out your log-in details and/or get your photo taken etc for your school I.D. if you are needing this. |
Day Map: Your Timetable, Attendance and Notes |
At NASC we use a system called DayMap. On DayMap you can find class notes, your timetable, your attendance, your reports and all other relevant details for your schooling. The above booklet shows you how to access DayMap.
All emails I send out will be to your school email, so please make sure you are checking this regularly. The best way to get to both DayMap and your school Email is through the Northern Adelaide Senior College Website. This Website is http://www.northernadelaidesc.sa.edu.au In the right hand corner click on 'DayMap'. DayMap is our schools portal and student learning management system. On DayMap you will be able to see: 1) Your timetable so you know where you are meant to be 2) Your attendance 3) Any messages posted to the class and you can post messages to the class and/or teacher 4) Your reports 5) Your assignments and class notes If you have any questions about this, please let me know. |
Assessments |
All assessments I will have up on this website under the week that I have issued the assessment as well as a link to that assessment on DayMap. If you have any queries, please let me know. The introduction to the specific subject you are doing, will break those assessments down further for you.
When you finish working on a task/assessment you can send it to us easily via this link: www.bit.do/clcnasc This link automatically files your work so that it is not lost and always gets through to me. When you go to this link you can 'attach'/upload the file you've got on your computer, enter your name, email and send. Done! If you're not overly familiar with computers, sending your work looks like this:

Getting The Most Out
|
I know that sometimes you just want to get the bare minimum done and get out there. Here's the thing. Life is about digging deeper and really getting below the surface level is where learning starts to happen.
If you want to succeed in life you have a choice, but my recommendation for you to get the most out of this opportunity as possible is to read what is written on the pages of this website, watch the youtube clips, do the assessments by really stopping and reflecting and taking the time to get the most of each task as possible. This can be a chore for you to do, or you can make this one of the best investments of your time you have EVER spent. The choice is yours. Welcome to your Experience: It will be whatever you make it! |
